Bandra is distinctively famous for its vintage environment, the integrated Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Bandstand promenade, the vibrant Carter Road, Linking Road market, and never changing food paradise across every corner and street. Adding to the food chart is B.Y.O.B abbreviates to Build Your Own Breakfast, where you can customize your own breakfast as per your preference, taste, and what you love eating. B.Y.O.B marks its first entry in Mumbai with a quaint and compact cafe on the heart of Hill Road, Bandra. It stands beaming on the busy street with a two-storeyed set-up. The dining area is on the top floor with a capacity of 15 to 20 pax at a time. The space is tranquil and meant for anyone who wants good food with solitude. Its privacy is guaranteed. I took a seat on the glass wall glancing at the outside world. While fidgeting with my phone, the staff instantly offered me Rooh Afza Cooler, which according to him, is the best-selling drink to beat the summer heat. As I sipped the chilled cold drink, I skimmed through the menu kept on the table with food items ranging from sandwiches to smoothies. The menu covers mouth-watering delicacies that serve the vegetarian and the non-vegetarian crowd. We conversed about the cafe and even toured the kitchen to see how the chef prepares the food. The food served is Halal with no alcohol, no beef, and no pork.

I ordered the first dish, Mushroom Spinach Omelette because mushrooms are my favorite. The omelette was well tossed with all the required ingredients and served with multi-grain slices of bread. Next on my plate was Arrabbiata Sauce Pasta which was as authentic as it should be. It had cheese, chicken pieces, generous sauce, and perfect presentation. Soon, the staff added another delectable dish, BBQ Grilled Chicken which was cooked to glory with mashed potatoes, veggies, and BBQ sauce. To gulp down those noshes down the stomach, I had another glass of Rooh Afza. To complete my experience, I couldn’t go without having the Zafrani Chai that came scintillating in a cup made of clay.

Before saying adieu to the place, I did make up my mind to come back again to try something else from the menu. While the city flourishes with new food joints every day, there is still immense space for specialization only in breakfast meals, and B.Y.O.B fits that description completely. It’s always the new entrance that trends in the food chart, and so will B.Y.O.B.
