Trekking Route

Day 1

The trek begins a short way after Kukke Subramanya Temple, as indicated by a signboard. The track is well-marked, and the first several kilometers are a reasonably challenging climb through dense trees that leads to grasslands. You can stop for a short rest at Bhatt’s House before continuing on. Take permission from the Forest House before camping, as camping beyond this point is banned. Overnight camping is permitted.

Day 2

An early morning start will take you to Kallu Mandapa, which is located next to a creek. The hike to Shesh Parvatha is the most difficult section of the journey. After Shesh Parvatha, the trail descends to a clearing, followed by an uphill trek to massive rocks. A rocky section leads to meadows and finally to the peak. Madikeri’s huge expanse is visible in the distance.
