And it’s true – as proven by the so-called 5-coin trick by Hyler Bracey, CEO of the Atlanta Consulting Group and Buy Narrative Essay online. Bracey puts five coins in his suit jacket pocket every day. Every time he commends an employee for a job well done throughout the day, he puts a coin in the other pocket. The concept of (dialogical) mindfulness provides for consciously experiencing the individual moment – in the here and now. For example, if you are a bit idle at work, allow yourself a three-minute break and consciously look around: the workplace, the desk, the plants in the office – pay attention to details and take the time to look at them individually, ideally yet to touch and feel. Follow spontaneous impulses: give your full attention to what comes to mind. The main thing is that you let go of everything else (at work) at the moment – and become grateful for the good feelings you are experiencing here and now.

Scientists are now certain that such gratitude exercises can increase happiness levels by 25 percent and alleviate stress-related illnesses. Anyone who practices and trains gratitude is doing themselves and their (mental) health a favour. His fellow human beings mostly too.

Express gratitude – by letter or card

Showing gratitude, for example in writing, is an increasingly rare form today. So-called letters of thanks (in letter form) seem to some like a relic from days gone by. But they are not! “Gratitude is one of the debts that everyone has, but only a few pay it off,” is a beautiful saying about gratitude. Well-crafted thank you notes or thank you cards never miss their mark. They can arouse sympathy , strengthen relationships and, last but not least, decide whether someone gets the assignment or job or not.

Have you ever torn up a thank you note and called the writer a hypocritical time thief? Even. You can also try a thank you letter, a thank you card or a short two-liner. The following phrases and sayings may serve as inspiration when writing:
